About The Position

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is hiring a temporary internal registry Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health, Adult Intensive Male. The position is scheduled for nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and pays a flat rate of $60.00 per hour. The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks, though staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Registered nurses provide patient care and education, emotional support, therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, and seclusion and restraint when needed. They document medical histories and symptoms, assist with diagnostic testing and analysis, operate medical equipment, administer treatments and medications, and support patient follow-up and rehabilitation. Nurses also educate patients and families on managing illness or injury, diet and exercise, medication self-administration, and physical therapy, and perform other related duties.

Requirements

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of the interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
