About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Chestnut Surgical Center at Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence is looking for Registered Nurses to join our team. Our Chestnut PACU offers support and comes fully equipped to help you do what YOU do best, provide care for our patients! The Pre-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) prepares the patient in the pre-op area for surgery, and provides care for patients during recovery post-surgery in the Outpatient Operating Rooms. The patient population includes mostly pediatric and some adult patients, both inpatient and outpatient.

Requirements

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Diploma in Nursing (Required)
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts

Nice To Haves

• Critical care experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Related experience preferred (Motility and Endoscopy).

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient in the pre-op area for surgery.
• Provide care for patients during recovery post-surgery.
• Duo trained in Motility and Endoscopy.
