RN or Registered Nurse (Coeburn, VA) – Youth Residential Program
About The Position
PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide on-site medical and wellness services within a federally supported residential youth program in Coeburn, Virginia. This role supports the Health & Wellness program through direct patient care, prevention initiatives, health education, and coordination with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary staff. The program serves young adults, ages 16–24, with the mission to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living. The Registered Nurse will provide on-site nursing services within the scope of practice under the applicable state nurse practice act and facility Wellness Guidelines.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Virginia
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a clinical, school-based, residential, or community health setting required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

- Excellent at taking notes
- RN could spot learning disabilities and or mental health issues
- Someone who could prep medication for the students overnight and the weekends
- Experience working with adolescents or young adults preferred
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Triaging urgent and emergent medical situations
- Providing first aid, clinical assessments, and basic treatment
- Monitoring students with chronic health conditions
- Administering medications and assisting with examinations
- Coordinating referrals and follow-up care with healthcare providers
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation and records
- Tracking laboratory results, immunizations, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Delivering individual and group health education sessions
- Maintaining medical and prescription supply inventories
- Providing staff training on health and wellness topics
- Collaborating with community healthcare partners and program leadership
- Supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment
- Mentoring students through professional role modeling and participation in program initiatives as assigned
