About The Position

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide on-site medical and wellness services within a federally supported residential youth program in Yachats, Oregon. This role supports a comprehensive residential program for young adults (ages 16-24) focused on preparing participants for employment and independent living. The RN will deliver direct clinical services, collaborate with residential and program staff, and contribute to the Health & Wellness program through patient care, prevention, health education, and coordination with healthcare providers. This is a full-time contract position with no weekends or remote options.

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a clinical, school-based, residential, or community health setting required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

  • Ability to prep medication for students overnight and weekends.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site nursing services within the scope of practice under the applicable state nurse practice act and facility Wellness Guidelines.
  • Triage urgent and emergent medical situations.
  • Provide first aid, clinical assessments, and basic treatment.
  • Monitor students with chronic health conditions.
  • Administer medications and assist with examinations.
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and records.
  • Track laboratory results, immunizations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Deliver individual and group health education sessions.
  • Maintain medical and prescription supply inventories.
  • Provide staff training on health and wellness topics.
  • Collaborate with community healthcare partners and program leadership.
  • Support a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
  • Mentor students through professional role modeling and participation in program initiatives as assigned.
