About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join their Procedural Sedation and Vascular Surgery Clinic teams in a unique hybrid role. This position offers the opportunity to work at the top of your scope in a highly autonomous, patient-facing role. The role involves providing hands-on nursing care in both Procedural Sedation and Vascular Surgery Clinic settings, assisting with procedural sedation and in-office vascular procedures, and caring for patients pre-op, intra-op, and post-op. Responsibilities also include telephone triage, patient education, and coordination of pre-procedure calls. Hands-on skills include administering sedation medications, starting and maintaining vascular access, point-of-care INR and glucose testing, and wound vacs and dressing changes. The nurse will collaborate with surgery and vascular clinicians in newly renovated spaces.

Requirements

• Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing
• RN licensure in Wisconsin upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• ACLS and Procedural Sedation training required after hire

Nice To Haves

• Previous sedation or procedural experience
• 1+ year of RN experience (new graduate nurses are not eligible)
• Ability to thrive while working through change and help develop workflows for this evolving role

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care in both Procedural Sedation and Vascular Surgery Clinic settings
