About The Position
VCU Health Hospice at Home by BAYADA is seeking a Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) for a Full-Time position in Richmond, VA. This role involves providing palliative care to clients in their homes, ensuring they receive necessary medical attention while remaining in a familiar environment. The position operates on a Friday to Monday schedule, from 10 am to 8 pm, with on-call duties after hours on weekends. Requirements
- A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in VA.
- A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
- Solid computer skills.
- Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
Nice To Haves
- Prior home care and/or hospice experience.
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Responsibilities
- Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
- Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and comfort care.
- Monitoring clients' conditions and reporting changes to the Clinical or Client Services Manager.
- Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
- Performing client assessments as necessary.
- Being on call after hours on weekends.
