About The Position

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time night shift position. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care and is accountable for delegating care to other members of the healthcare team. The nurse provides comprehensive care using the nursing process in accordance with hospital policy; communicates patient-care plans, condition changes, progress, discharge plans, and other relevant information to the healthcare team; and documents assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes. The role also involves interpreting clinical data, assessing potential risk factors, completing thorough physical assessments, and participating in multidisciplinary discharge planning.

Requirements

Current Pennsylvania RN license.
Current BCLS certification, or obtain it by completion of orientation.
ACLS certification, if applicable to the area of practice, or obtain it by completion of orientation.
BSN or BS/BA degree in Nursing.

Nice To Haves

Professional certifications preferred.
Prior clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of patient care.
Assume responsibility and accountability for delegating patient care to other members of the healthcare team.
Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in an organized and systematic manner according to hospital policy.
Communicate the plan of care, changes in patient condition, patient progress, discharge plans, and other relevant information to the healthcare team.
Document assessments and reassessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes according to policy.
Document pain assessments and plans of care.
Document fall risk and plans of care.
Document wound risk and plans of care.
Interpret and use clinical data in the plan of care.
Assess patients for potential risk factors and perform accurate, thorough nursing physical assessments.
Participate in discharge planning using a multidisciplinary approach.
