The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical/Surgical Unit provides direct, patient-centered care during night shift hours. This role focuses on delivering high-quality clinical care, supporting patient recovery, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to perform effectively in a night shift environment
- Professionalism and accountability
- Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery
- Advocate for patient needs and ensure a safe care environment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
