About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients. The 5W Cardiac-Telemetry unit offers a dynamic, supportive environment where teamwork and compassionate patient care are at the heart of everything we do. You'll care for complex patients requiring telemetry monitoring and advanced nursing interventions, giving you valuable experience beyond the typical medical-surgical setting. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your clinical expertise by managing cardiac drips, caring for patients with a variety of cardiac and respiratory conditions, and assisting with specialized procedures. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
  • RN license active in the state of Missouri
  • BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
  • Exhibits valuable time management skills
  • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous nursing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
