About The Position

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices. Duties include assessment of patients, developing plan of care, implementing the plan of care and evaluating plan of care. This role will work 7 AM- 5PM with rotating days off. Does require weekday and weekend call. Must be within 30 minutes for days covering call. Position requires a high quality of care in order to meet the Hospital's core mission.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within one year of hire
2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school

Nice To Haves

4 year / Bachelor's Degree in from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing
1 - 2 years Nursing Experience

Responsibilities

Collects data in a systematic and ongoing process
Issues are identified and diagnoses are developed based on assessment data.
Prioritizes data collection based on the patient's condition and needs.

Documents implementation and includes changes or omissions of the identified plan.
Consults with healthcare providers and makes referrals as appropriate.
Utilizes appropriate community resources and systems to implement the plan.
Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.
Clearly and accurately documents designated processes, policies, products, service offerings, etc.
Ensures that documentation is tailored to expected readers / users.
Uses correct terminology.
Conforms to required style and format.
Develops expected outcomes that provide direction for continuity of care.
Involves patient/family and other disciplines to determine expected outcomes.
Modifies expected outcomes based on changes in the assessment of the patient.
Includes the patient and others involved in the care in the evaluation process.
Evaluates the plan in relation to patient responses and expected outcomes.
Documents the results of the evaluation.
Uses the results of quality improvement activities in nursing practice.
Uses creativity and innovation in nursing practice to improve care delivery.
Incorporates evidence based knowledge to initiate change in nursing practice.
