About The Position

The After-Hours RN provides clinical support outside of traditional business hours and helps ensure continuity of care while reducing unnecessary hospitalizations. This role offers an evening-focused schedule with greater work-life balance, an independent patient care environment, and no hospital shifts or 12-hour rotations. The position utilizes AI-assisted charting and a user-friendly EMR (WellSky/Kinnser) to reduce documentation time, allowing more time with patients. The company provides structured onboarding, mentorship, a clinical support team, free CEUs, ongoing education, and training opportunities, all within a supportive leadership culture.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license
• Strong assessment and triage skills
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Complete skilled nursing visits during evenings and weekends
• Perform Start of Care (SOC) assessments
• Perform Resumption of Care visits
• Perform PRN visits
• Perform Urgent nursing visits beginning at 4:00 PM
• Coordinate care with Physicians
• Coordinate care with Case managers
• Coordinate care with Interdisciplinary care teams
• Provide skilled clinical care including comprehensive patient assessments
• Provide skilled clinical care including Medication reconciliation
• Provide skilled clinical care including Wound care
• Provide skilled clinical care including Disease management education
• Provide skilled clinical care including Catheter care
• Provide skilled clinical care including IV starts
• Support urology-related patient needs including Foley catheter management
• Support urology-related patient needs including Nephrostomy care
• Support urology-related patient needs including Urinary retention monitoring
• Support urology-related patient needs including Post-surgical urology follow-up
• Support urology-related patient needs including Infection prevention education
• Complete documentation within required EMR timeframes
• Participate in rotating evening/weekend on-call coverage
