About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Ortho/Neuro/Oncology/Med Surg department at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin, on a full-time night schedule. The nurse leads and monitors individualized patient care plans, documents patient conditions and care, communicates critical updates to the interdisciplinary team, and coordinates clinical and therapeutic disciplines to provide cohesive, patient-centered care from admission through discharge. The role also includes carrying out physician and nursing orders and collaborating with the care team on discharge and transition planning.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Obtain Registered Nurse credentialing from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing before hire or job transfer, or hold a current home-state license if considered a multi-state/Compact State.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and continuous monitoring of individualized patient care plans to support recovery and high-quality outcomes.
• Document patient conditions and care, and communicate critical updates to the interdisciplinary team for timely intervention.
• Coordinate clinical and therapeutic disciplines to provide a cohesive, patient-centered experience from admission through discharge.
• Execute physician and nursing orders promptly and precisely.
• Assess discharge needs early and collaborate with the care team on comprehensive plans for a safe transition and continuum of care.
