About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Medical Surgial Unit, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited professional nursing education program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota (MN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide overnight clinical vigilance: Monitor patient status throughout the night, managing pain, addressing acute changes in condition, and ensuring patient safety during the critical hours when recovery and healing are a priority.
  • Provide a comprehensive assessment: Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to establish a health status baseline, continuously evaluating the patient’s response to treatment and intervention.
  • Collaborate with the health care team: Work closely with providers and clinical staff to develop and coordinate a seamless 24-hour plan of care, ensuring continuity of treatment from day to night.
  • Develop and implement nursing interventions: Use evidence-based practice to create and execute independent nursing care plans, addressing both the clinical and comfort needs of the patient.
  • Execute provider orders: Meticulously implement interventions that are delegated, ordered, or prescribed by a licensed health care provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in administration.
  • Lead patient care teams: Delegate nursing tasks or assign nursing activities to support staff to ensure the plan of care is executed efficiently throughout the overnight shift.
