About The Position

The Registered Nurse Float Pool role is full-time, working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The nurse is responsible and accountable for providing direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge. The role includes reviewing and documenting care provided, care outcomes, and evaluations of care. The nurse applies evidence, professional standards, and best practices to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kentucky.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• One year of Telemetry nursing experience.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Recent experience in a specialty.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
