Mountain Valley of Cascadia is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our award-winning team. Nestled in the heart of North Idaho, our facility is known for delivering exceptional care while fostering a supportive, team-first culture. All employees must successfully complete state-specific background check requirements prior to working with residents/patients.

Requirements

  • Current, active RN license
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • A team-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for resident care
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
  • Current RN license in the state of employment
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide Exceptional Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes. Develop and implement individualized care plans that support long-term wellness.
  • Lead & Support Your Team: Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure safe, effective care delivery. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment. Serve as a clinical leader and resource for your team.
  • Ensure Accurate Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with all regulations. Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, and family members. Complete all required documentation, including assessments, physician orders, progress notes, flowsheets, and consents.
  • Medication Management: Safely administer and document medications, including post-admission doses. Monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions. Maintain narcotic records and coordinate medication orders. Complete physician order reviews and initiate therapies as ordered.
  • Clinical & Emergency Response: Respond quickly to changes in resident condition. Initiate emergency interventions and perform CPR when needed.
  • Stay Compliant & Professional: Follow all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Maintain punctuality and reliability.
