About The Position

Responsible for delivering nursing care within the assigned unit’s scope of practice, following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice. This position is in the Cardiac Rehab department and works a day shift from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The scheduled biweekly hours are listed as 0.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in a specialty area will be considered. Experience specific to the unit or position may be required to maintain the unit’s overall competency level, as required by a regulatory agency.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification as a Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire into Cardiac Rehab.

Nice To Haves

• One year of professional nursing experience.
• ACLS certification is preferred in other units.

Responsibilities

• Assess each assigned patient, document and evaluate the patient’s response to the plan of care, and take appropriate corrective action.
• Plan and implement the patient’s plan of care or standard of care, and provide patient teaching using the plan of care or standard of care.
• Oversee ancillary personnel performing technical tasks.
