About The Position

Life Care Centers of America operates Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that provide long-term care for residents needing ongoing skilled support and compassionate daily assistance, and short-term, sub-acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. The role involves collaborative, interdisciplinary care with nursing, therapy, and medical teams working together for a diverse patient population. The company is a privately owned, 47-year industry leader in healthcare with over 200 locations across the U.S. The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact and provides care and services to allow patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. This includes evaluating patient needs through ongoing assessment and revising care plans based on changes in the patient’s condition. The RN also provides clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs.

Requirements

  • Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing)
  • Currently licensed/registered in applicable State.
  • Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

  • One (1) year skilled nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact.
  • Provide care and services to allow patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Evaluate patient needs through ongoing assessment.
  • Revise care plans based on changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Provide clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs.
  • Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
