About The Position

Altamaha Health Care is hiring a Registered Nurse to work both short term rehabilitation and long-term care. This position involves supervising nursing personnel, attending to the daily operations of the unit, and developing and implementing individualized Nursing Care Plans. The role requires a general understanding of nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills to ensure customer needs are met. The incumbent will also assist in the orientation and supervision of Nursing personnel and assume leadership responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Must have a current Registered Nurse License issued in the state where the person will practice.
• Must be a graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
• Possess physical assessment skills.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitative Nursing.
• Experience in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a general understanding of the principles of Nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized Nursing Care Plans.
• Ensure that the needs of the customers are met.
• Assist in the orientation of and supervision of Nursing personnel.
• Attend to the daily operations of the unit on a per shift, unit level.
• Assume responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.
