About The Position
The PRN Registered Nurse (RN) at Metro Reentry provides flexible, as-needed clinical coverage and plays a critical role in delivering patient care and supporting overall clinical operations. This position requires strong clinical judgment, independence, and the ability to integrate quickly into an established team. Centurion Health partners with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral healthcare services to individuals in custody. Our teams operate in structured, secure environments focused on consistency, safety, and quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia or compact license (must be in good standing)
- Current CPR certification (must be active)
- Required experience in one or more of the following: Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, or Correctional Healthcare
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a structured environment
- Must be available for a minimum of 2 shifts per month
- Must be available for at least 2 weekends per month
- Must be able to provide some holiday coverage as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and perform assessments
- Respond to clinical needs and emergent situations
- Collaborate with providers, mental health staff, and nursing team
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with protocols
- Support continuity of care across shift
