About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides leadership to facilitate professional nursing care that supports patients’ comfort and well-being. Using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—the nurse provides, delegates, supervises, and documents patient and family care and teaching, and implements medically prescribed interventions. This is a full-time, day-shift position in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Mission Hospital McDowell.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; an Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact license may apply, and the licensee should confirm with NCBON.
• Registered Nurse licensure must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of hospital nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care for patients’ comfort and well-being.
• Use the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and patient and family teaching.
• Implement medically prescribed interventions.
