RN Ortho Med/Surg Part Time
About The Position
Saint Alphonsus Health System is hiring Registered Nurses for its 36-bed Ortho Medical/Surgical Unit in Nampa. The unit cares for patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic needs, including a wide range of conditions and illnesses, wound care, and minor trauma cases. The unit uses a Together Care Team Model that brings together Virtual RNs, bedside RNs, and CNAs in a collaborative, supportive learning environment. This model supports patient care and offers opportunities to grow into specialties such as Emergency Room and Critical Care. This is a part-time night-shift role with self-scheduling and rotating weekends. The posting describes two 12-hour shifts per week, from 7 to 7, while also labeling the schedule as “Full Time Nights.”
Requirements
- Hold a current Registered Nurse license in Idaho as defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
- Multistate license holders must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
- Have Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at hire; ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in place of BLS.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team, including ongoing assessment, planning, and treatment of patients and families.
- Use resources wisely while promoting patients’ physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
- Provide hands-on nursing care and perform duties that include delegation, assessment, care and treatment planning, and teaching patients and their families.
