About The Position

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Unit. This is a Full Time position, working Nights (7p-7a - every weekend). The unit is a Progressive Care Unit with two sections: CVI (15 beds) and CVU (16 beds). CVI focuses on pre- and post-cardiac intervention patients (PTCA, cardioversion, generator implants) and those with atypical chest pain needing cardiac monitoring. CVU provides post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients in their open-heart recovery. RNs manage patient care throughout their journey, from intervention to discharge. New graduate nurses are welcome to apply. The Cardiac Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing interventions, and maintaining a nursing care plan. Strong critical thinking skills are necessary for providing technical care and guiding patients and families through their cardiac care.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN License
• BCLS Required
• ACLS Required
