About The Position

Texas Health Cleburne is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The role is based at 201 Walls Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033, and works 36 hours per week on three 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with rotating weekends and holidays. The Emergency Department is a 17-bed Level 4 Trauma department with high-tech equipment, a physician-group partnership, an engaged leadership team, and a robust Unit Based Council. The position offers self-scheduling and opportunities for educational and career growth. The nurse delivers patient care using the Nursing Process, maintains continuity of care, and incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited nursing program or a Nursing Diploma.
At least one year of experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
BCLS certification before providing independent care and maintained quarterly.
ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training within 90 days of hire.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 90 days of hire.
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
One year of Emergency experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
Assess patients.
Plan patient care.
Intervene as appropriate.
Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Incorporate age-specific safety and infection-control measures into patient care.
Initiate action to meet patients’ and significant others’ needs for information.
Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and hospitals, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
