About The Position

This position is on a Pulmonary-focused Medical-Surgical unit providing care to adult patients with respiratory illnesses and complex medical conditions. The RN will deliver direct bedside care in a high-volume, fast-paced environment , collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience accepted from the following settings: Home Health LTAC Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Outpatient Rehabilitation Corrections
• Acute care experience not required
• Active Florida RN license or Compact Multistate RN license
• Compact RNs must obtain FL license within 60 days if relocating
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required (BSN preferred)
• BLS (AHA) required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments each shift
• Monitor patient status and promptly report changes in condition
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments
• Accurately document patient care and outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and procedures
• Advocate for patient safety and high-quality outcomes
• Effectively manage time, resources, and care in a high nurse-to-patient ratio environment
