Registered Nurse - RN
About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a Registered Nurse for its rehabilitation hospital in Lakeway, Texas. The RN works with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, including physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists. On each shift, the RN partners with a Nursing Assistant and manages a manageable caseload to help patients achieve goals and milestones outlined in their individual care plans. This is a PRN, as-needed role with a day shift schedule of 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. The PRN rate is $46 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Valid state RN license.
- BLS certification required at hire.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or enrollment in a BSN program.
- Clinical experience.
Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers.
- Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Document accurately and on time using EPIC.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary clinical team and partner with a Nursing Assistant to support patients' care-plan goals.
