About The Position
Critical Nurse Staffing provides home health care to Veterans of the United States Armed Services, Workers’ Compensation claimants, and former energy workers eligible for in-home care through the Department of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation. The Registered Nurse provides compassionate care to patients in their homes, supporting their independence and comfort. The position provides direct nursing care in accordance with state regulations and each patient’s Plan of Care. The nurse evaluates patient needs, supports a safe and healthy environment, and encourages patients to remain independent within the capabilities specified in their care plans. The role also has direct supervisory responsibilities for aides and LPNs and performs supervisory visits as needed. Employees work in patients’ homes, providing one-on-one care. The role pays $42.00–$46.00 per hour and involves 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend required. Benefits are available to employees working 30 or more hours per week.
Requirements
- Two years of in-home health care experience.
- Availability to work every other weekend, including Saturday and Sunday.
- Willingness to travel up to 60 miles.
- Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification and TB test.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients.
- Ability to comply with agency policies, procedures, and job requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with state regulations for registered nurses.
- Follow the Plan of Care to provide safe and competent patient care.
- Help maintain a healthy and safe environment.
- Regularly evaluate patient needs.
- Encourage patient independence without exceeding the abilities outlined in the Patient Care Plan.
- Supervise aides and LPNs and perform supervisory visits as needed.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, work with people at all levels of the company, provide exceptional customer service, and act honestly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
