About The Position

Join EANM as a part-time (30 hours) Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR), providing exceptional surgical care in a specialty setting. This role supports patient safety, procedural efficiency, and surgical success while working alongside surgeons and anesthesia providers in a dynamic, high-performing operating room. The position is onsite and follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with no nights or major holidays. Paid training and certification support, including ACLS/BLS renewals, are provided. Benefit eligibility varies by employment status; the benefits listed apply to employees with .75 FTE status or higher.

Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required; ACLS/BLS training is provided.
• Knowledge of AORN standards and surgical asepsis.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in high-volume settings.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the operating room or outpatient surgery.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub during ophthalmic and oculoplastic procedures.
• Support anesthesia induction, emergence, and airway management.
• Monitor patients for clinical changes and initiate emergency response when needed.
• Ensure proper sterile technique, instrument use, and room turnover.
• Accurately document care and administer medications according to protocols.
