About The Position

River Oaks Hospital, a private psychiatric facility in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, has a tradition of excellence since 1970 in treating acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma-based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders. River Oaks provides quality treatment to individuals suffering from mental illness and/or addictive disorders across all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient) on its 14-acre campus. River Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse for a Full Time Days or Full Time Nights position. The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse responsible for delivering, coordinating, and evaluating patient care through collaboration with health team members, adhering to the nursing process and standards of care. The Staff Nurse must demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety criteria. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
Current licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nurses
Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English
Selected skills/credentials as defined by the department’s scope of services
Ability to work with others in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital or related inpatient setting preferred
