About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Cardiac Med/Surg unit at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Florida. This position is located in their Heart Hospital and is for a Full-time day shift. RNs on this unit typically have a 6:1 patient ratio and are responsible for providing advanced care to adult and geriatric patients. Baptist South is also mentioned as serving growing neighborhoods in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties, blending resort-like amenities with advanced medical care to address patients' physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. The Registered Nurse on this Med/Surg unit will be responsible for using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to meet patient needs, organizing and supervising care provided by supportive personnel, coordinating care with ancillary services, and involving patients and their families in the plan of care. They will also educate patients and families about their condition and plan of care, and act as a patient advocate. The role involves providing care for patients with various medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic medical issues and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
• Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience
• Associate's degree Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
