About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is part of ProMedica’s patient care team, providing patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience. The RN coordinates the patient’s plan of care and communicates with patients, families, and the health care team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. The RN assesses patients and formulates nursing diagnoses, then plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of care plans. The position involves collaborating with fellow nurses and support staff to achieve patient care goals and improve patient care, the work environment, and patient and staff satisfaction. The role is based in the Emergency Center at Bay Park Hospital and follows a rotating weekend schedule with shifts of 9:45 a.m.–9:45 p.m., 11:45 a.m.–11:45 p.m., and 2:45 p.m.–2:45 a.m.

Requirements

Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR training.
Specialty certifications as required by individual nursing units.
For nurses in Ohio, complete 24 contact hours of continuing education during the licensure period, including at least one contact hour related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules.
