About The Position

Registered Nurse for a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit serving adult patients ages 16 and up. The patient population includes patients with sepsis, shock, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), acute kidney injury (AKI), vascular conditions, and strokes, as well as patients requiring ventilators or tracheostomies. Nurses are trained to use Impellas, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT); SBL uses Prismax. The role may require floating to the progressive care unit (PCU) or medical-surgical unit.

Requirements

• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Training in Impellas, IABP, and CRRT.

Nice To Haves

• CCRN certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult ICU patients, including patients with sepsis, shock, DKA, AKI, vascular conditions, strokes, and patients with ventilators or tracheostomies.
• Use or care for patients receiving Impella support, IABP, and CRRT.
• Float to the PCU or medical-surgical unit as needed.
