About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Nassau Crossing in Yulee, Florida. This is a Part-Time opportunity working evening shift. Scheduled Shift: 5:00 PM-1:00 AM, 3 shifts per week. Baptist Emergency at Nassau Crossing brings high-quality emergency services to the growing communities of Nassau County and North Florida. The facility is designed to provide efficient, patient-focused emergency care with convenient access for local residents. As part of the emergency care team, you will help deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

  • Emergency Department Experience Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred

  • Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Act as the patient advocate
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
