About The Position

The Registered Nurse (PRN) at Paragon Infusion Centers is responsible for administering ordered therapies at the North Richland Hills clinic. The role is performed at the posted location and involves direct, in-person collaboration and patient engagement. Clinic hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; the position is scheduled PRN. The nurse practices within the scope of practice, facility policies and procedures, INS standards, and approved protocols. Responsibilities include completing admissions as directed, assessing patients as warranted, documenting care and patient responses, reporting significant changes, educating patients and families about treatment plans, and ensuring medication orders are complete and accurate before treatment. The nurse must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA requirements for patient confidentiality.

Requirements

ASN or ADN and at least 2 years of clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
Multi-state licensure if providing services in multiple states.
Satisfactory completion of a tuberculosis test.
Hepatitis B vaccination or a signed waiver.

Experience with IVs.
Experience with ports, PICC lines, and peripheral lines.
Medication-mixing experience.
Titration experience.
Knowledge of medical insurance terminology.
Exceptional time-management skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Perform duties within the nurse’s scope of practice, facility policies and procedures, INS standards of practice, and approved facility protocols.
Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policies and procedures.
Complete the admission process as directed by the Center Director.
Perform physical assessments on patients as warranted, including new consults as warranted by the patient’s diagnosis.
Refer to the nurse practitioner on duty for a complete physical assessment when needed.
Document pertinent data in the patient’s medical record.
Report significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follow up on identified problems.
Evaluate patients’ responses to therapy and document findings in the medical record.
Educate patients and/or family members about the therapy plan.
Ensure medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and current before treatment.
Follow applicable state, local, and federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA patient-confidentiality requirements.
