The Registered Nurse will work in the Medical Observation Unit and will be responsible for providing patient assessment and collection of health data involving the patient, family, and other healthcare providers. This role coordinates the patient's plan of care to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate. The nurse will communicate clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone, and in writing. They will also individualize patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet specific learning needs and participate in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by engaging in quality improvement initiatives. Maintaining professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws, and regulations is also a key responsibility.
