3GH Ortho/Spine/Neuro/Telemetry- Staff RN- Full time Dayshift
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care on 3G & H, a 37-bed telemetry/medical-surgical unit specializing in orthopedic, neuro, and spine patients. The unit also serves as a secondary stroke unit and cares for general cardiac and telemetry patients. Patients are admitted from PACU, the emergency department, interventional areas, and physicians’ offices. The RN practices nursing with a whole-person focus and helps create a caring environment centered on healing and wellness. The role spends more than 50% of its time coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care, including nursing rounds, assessments and treatments, admissions, transfers and discharges, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and fewer than 10 years of experience must enroll in a bachelor’s degree program within 12 months of hire and earn the degree within five years.
- Basic life support certification; applicants without it must provide proof of completion within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and successful completion of a dysrhythmia class as required by department assignment.
Responsibilities
