About The Position

Our Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. We foster an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, Colorectal, Urology, GI) and Med/Surg (Urology, GI, Nephrology, Cardiac/Tele, Pulmonary, Geriatrics). The unit is a Clinical Decision Unit, a Pathway designated, Level III Trauma Center, Primary heart attack center, with high performing quality indicators, favorable RN and PCT ratios, and a Charge RN free of patient assignment. We have strong employee and physician relationships, 24/7 hospitalist services, employee self-scheduling, and a supportive and collaborative work environment through unit-based council and shared governance. Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited program in nursing or have two years of relevant work experience.
• Main area of study in education should be nursing.
• Two years of experience in nursing is required.
• Must be a registered nurse.
• Have basic life support (BLS) certification or get it within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, Colorectal, Urology, GI) and Med/Surg (Urology, GI, Nephrology, Cardiac/Tele, Pulmonary, Geriatrics) patients.
