About The Position
The Registered Nurse is a professional who is directly responsible for coordinating intraoperative care of the patient and indirectly responsible through coordination and information sharing of both pre- and postoperative care.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of two years surgical experience desired.
Nice To Haves
- Additional experience in medical/ surgical nursing.
- Additional "scrub" experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates planned nursing care with other health care team members.
- Monitoring the sterile environment.
- Assisting anesthesia, scrub and medical personnel to assure a smooth operation.
- Assisting in preparation of the sterile environment.
- Assisting in proper preparation of supplies, medication, equipment and instrumentation involved in patient care.
- Participating in patient care and education conferences.
