The Registered Nurse will provide medical-surgical oncology and hematology care on the 16 East and West units. Patient populations include people with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, sickle cell disease, other non-hematologic cancers, and other benign hematology conditions. Care includes chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and management of oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome, as well as insulin and heparin drips. Infection prevention and fall prevention are areas of strong focus. Staffing ratios target 1:4 and may be 1:5. Staff may float to other medical-surgical and oncology units. Weekend assignments vary according to unit needs. No set or blocked scheduling is offered. For a 12-hour day/night rotating assignment, shifts may be days, nights, or a combination based on department needs; assignments are reviewed every four-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and depend on staffing priorities. The posting lists agency parking permit options through CampusParc, with costs and access details subject to change. These parking details are logistical information and are not job benefits.
