About The Position
Responsible for pre and post-operative care coordination for Atrial Fibrillation Center patients. This role involves managing procedure scheduling, patient assessment and preparation, patient education and support, follow-up care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration with EP physicians and other healthcare professionals. The nurse will also perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Acute care experience preferred
- Cardiac experience required
Responsibilities
- Manage the logistical aspects of scheduling procedures for Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Center, mainly catheter ablation and left atrial appendage closure procedures.
- Coordinate pre-operative testing and review results to ensure patients are adequately prepared for their procedures.
- Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding the procedure process, pre-procedure preparations, and post-procedure care.
- Oversee the post-procedure follow-up process, including scheduling appointments, monitoring recovery, and ensuring adherence to post-procedure guidelines.
- Work closely with EP physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
