About The Position
Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, the Registered Nurse (Level I, II, III or IV) coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process. After appropriate educational preparation, the Registered Nurse may expand the scope of practice in general or specialty areas of nursing. Criteria and specific job duties for the levels are defined by each department’s area-specific criteria. This position is in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and is a 12-hour night shift role.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card.
- Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within three months of hire into the position.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, and health care personnel.
- Ability to handle varying issues in challenging situations and work effectively both individually and as a member of a team in a stress-producing environment.
