About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers, directs, and supervises care for patients admitted to the nursing unit, using the nursing process and working under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and access to community resources. The role may include other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties; ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
Current BLS certification.
Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
