The Day Hospital RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The RN will uphold and promote a culture of safety, continuously evaluating patient, team, and unit outcomes, and taking action as needed. Responsibilities include administering medications, treatments, and therapies safely, demonstrating effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, and pursuing professional development. The RN will adhere to ethical practices, respect interdisciplinary roles, and contribute to integrated, unbiased patient care. Appropriate delegation to other nursing staff is expected, along with maintaining accurate, timely EHR documentation. The RN may be required to float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served.
