About The Position

The Registered Nurse performs primary nursing functions—including assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care—for patients of all ages in the Inpatient Unit who have various illnesses or trauma. The RN serves as a professional role model and collaborates with clinical and front office staff, administration, and other professional disciplines to support effective patient care and optimal patient outcomes. Other duties as assigned. The schedule is variable, with an FTE of .1. The position does not require force mandating.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a hospital inpatient/telemetry unit or equivalent experience.
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice normally acquired through completion of at least two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing, sufficient to be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure.
Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or a multistate nursing license from a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, required within 30 days of hire.
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience in a hospital inpatient/telemetry unit or equivalent experience is preferred.
