About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse for its outpatient dialysis team in Springfield, Illinois. The nurse provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney conditions. Dialysis experience is not required, and paid training is provided. The role involves hands-on care in a fast-paced setting, long-term patient relationships, and applying broad nursing skills to medically complex patients. Flexible scheduling and floating to nearby clinics may be required; training may also take place at a clinic other than the nurse’s home location.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Reliable transportation for potential floating.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg.
- CNN or CDN certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in an outpatient dialysis setting.
- Monitor patients, manage treatment plans, and respond to health changes.
- Collaborate with the clinical team, including Patient Care Technicians.
- Educate patients and families on kidney health and treatment options.
- Float to nearby clinics as needed.
