About The Position

This role involves delivering comprehensive direct patient care within the Medical Oncology Chemotherapy department. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the safe administration of chemotherapy/immunotherapy, closely monitoring for side effects and allergic reactions. Key duties include overseeing various vascular access devices (e.g., PICC lines, PortaCaths), performing blood draws, utilizing infusion technology, and ensuring strict adherence to protocols for the safe handling of cytotoxic agents.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Certification specializing in Chemotherapy credentialed from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Certification specializing in Chemotherapy credentialed from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
