About The Position

RiverView Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Inpatient Unit, specializing in OB or ED. This is a part-time position (.6 fte, 48 hours per pay period) with a salary range of $36.73 - $51.43 per hour. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, assessing, triaging, and treating patients with a wide range of medical conditions in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Current State of Minnesota RN license is required
  • Current American Heart BLS certification. If not currently certified, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months of date of hire
  • Current American Heart ACLS certification is required. If not ACLS certified, we will train within the first year

Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid assessment and triage based on patient acuity.
  • Develop and implement care plans based on patient condition and medical protocols.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Provide wound care, start IV lines, and monitor patient response.
  • Respond to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and trauma.
  • Accurately document patient care and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Demonstrate compliance with all regulatory standards, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members.
  • Provide patient education on care plans, discharge instructions, and medications.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, blood draws, and wound care.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families during traumatic events.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations.
