About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) OR/ /RR/Day Surgery/CSR is a member of the surgical team that focuses on identifying and meeting the individual needs of the surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience. The Registered Nurse provides excellent care to the surgical population using critical thinking skills guided by the Perioperative Standards through the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) Standards, Guidelines and Position Statements. Working in collaboration with the health care team, the Registered Nurse OR/ RR/Day Surgery/ CSR uses basic and expanded nursing knowledge to address the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual responses of the patient of the surgical event, with the objective of maintaining or regaining optimal patient health.

Responsibilities

Benefits

Northern Allowance: $16,328 per year
Subsidized Staff Housing is Available
Recruitment bonuses: $5,000 on start date, $5,000 at 18 months of service and $10,000 at 30 months of service (pro-rated for job share)
Annual Frontline Allowance: $9,000 (pro-rated for job share)
Monthly Retention Bonus: $4,500 per year (pro-rated for job share)
