About The Position

Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Irving as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Our PACU is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Our PACU leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The PACU has 18 bays with a patient ratio of 1:2. The department is described as welcoming, team/family oriented, and extremely helpful with a transformational and transparent management approach.

Requirements

• 2+ years of RN experience
• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• RN – Registered Nurse license
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

• RN experience with PACU or ICU highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a fast-paced PACU environment with high acuity patients.
• Participate in evening call shifts.
• Contribute to a welcoming, team/family oriented unit.
• Collaborate with leadership to foster learning and mentoring.
• Engage in shared governance model with unit-based councils.
• Participate in a strong system Nurse Practice Council.
• Promote Evidence-based practice, research, and innovations in nursing practice.
• Utilize inter-professional collaboration and professional competencies to meet patient needs and provide safe passage and quality outcomes.
