About The Position

The Anticoagulation Clinic RN provides specialized nursing care and management for patients receiving anticoagulation therapy. The role includes monitoring anticoagulation medications and laboratory results, assessing for bleeding or thrombotic complications, educating patients on medication adherence and safety, adjusting therapy per protocol, and coordinating care with providers and pharmacies. The RN ensures safe, evidence-based management of anticoagulation treatment while promoting positive patient outcomes and reducing complications. This part-time position is with the Aspirus Cardiology Clinic in Wausau, Wisconsin, at 0.6 FTE (48 hours every pay period), with weekday day hours.

Requirements

Associate degree in nursing.
Active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
Active Michigan RN nursing license within 3 months of hire.
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Certified Heart Failure Nurse (CHFN) certification within 2 years of hire.
Maintain specialty certification as required by the department’s scope of service.
Current BLS certification or obtain it within 90 days of hire. Acceptable training includes the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
Additional required certifications are defined within the department or clinic’s scope of service.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Certification in specialty desired.
At least one year practicing as an RN preferred.

Responsibilities
