Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse, currently registered with the New York State Education Department
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- A commitment to person-centered care and advocacy
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in acute or long-term care preferred (new graduates welcome and supported)
- Experience or interest in supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments
- Provide direct care
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure individualized health needs are met
- Serve as a resource and mentor to LPNs and direct support staff, offering guidance, education, and support to promote safe practices and positive outcomes
- Help people maintain their health, independence, and quality of life while respecting their choices and individuality
